Alabama Canvas Users Group

Great news for UAH faculty and staff! Canvas is launching an Alabama Canvas Users Group which will meet for the first time on April 18th in Opelika. ETL staff welcome faculty to join the fun! To register and for full event information, please visit the Alabama Canvas Users Group event page.

From the Canvas event announcement:

We’ll discuss hot topics trending in the Ed tech world, host Alabama specific topics and Canvas-defined sessions. We’ve jam-packed the agenda with awesome sessions from educators, innovators, and thought leaders from in Alabama. 

Plenty of ed-tech goodness—new skills and techniques, networking, collaboration, idea-sharing, and other fun—for Canvas users and non-Canvas users alike. We promise there’s something for everyone! Join us for a full day of learning and awesomeness or risk suffering in everlasting FOMO. 

There is no cost to attend this event and lunch will be provided. Space is limited so reserve your seat now, for a full day of nothing less than awesome.

Doodly has arrived at UAH!

This news has special importance for those using Screencast-o-Matic or Panopto to create videos for their on-ground, hybrid, or online courses or announcements. The team in Online Learning is ready to help faculty take their videos to the next level with added "footage" that we can create in special animated formats that include chalkboard (green, black, or custom), glassboard, or whiteboard, a variety of hands (different genders and ethnicities), myriad modes of writing, fonts, characters, props, scenes ... you name it! We've got it.
